Tasting Notes: Pinot Gris 2017
OUR Pinot Gris 2016 is an aroma,c dry wine, With bright, light yellow with green hues. It has a softly concentrated nose with well pear and green apple skin aromas melded harmoniously with complexing flint and mineral elements, nuts and a wild barrel-ferment note. Medium bodied, the mouthfeel has good weight and flowing viscosity. A fine phenolic thread and sweet acidity balances the fruit and barrel-ferment richness, and the wine carries to a slender, lingering dry finish with a hint of white pepper spice. This is a well-concentrated, weighty Pinot Gris with ripe pear flavours, and a mineral, fine-textured line.
It is 100% Pinot Gris, Single Vineyard from our vineyard in the Awatere Valley, Marlborough, New Zealand.
